About Us
Outre-Finance is a non-profit organization (under the French law of 1901) whose goal is to support small entrepreneurs and projects in France's "Outre-Mer" overseas territories. We offer microloans at low to 0% interest, coupled with personalized support, in order to give locals the means to create, develop, and sustain their projects and businesses.

Need in the Overseas Territories
France's overseas territories face major socio-economic challenges:
-
Unemployment rate: on average twice as high as in mainland France (up to 30% among young people).
-
Poverty rate: around a third of locals live below the poverty line (compared to 14% in mainland France).
-
Difficulty accessing credit: many do not have access to traditional funding options.
Microlending is a practical solution to provide economic opportunity and support local initiatives.
Impact
Each microloan contributes to:

Legal Basis
Our work is based on provisions of the French Monetary and Financial Code (Article L511-6), which authorize non-profit organisations to grant microloans in the overseas territories when they are made in the public interest, from their own funds (not borrowed), and under preferential conditions (reduced interest rates, flexible repayment terms).
